DRUG CLASS:  Antidepressant, Serotonin/Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor

MECHANISM OF ACTION: Duloxetine is a potent inhibitor of neuronal serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake and a weak inhibitor of dopamine reuptake. Duloxetine has no significant activity for muscarinic cholinergic, H -histaminergic, or alpha -adrenergic receptors. Duloxetine does not possess MAO-inhibitory activity.
